Philippines records over 10,000 leptospirosis cases, exceeding epidemic threshold

The Department of Health recorded 10,936 leptospirosis cases as of Sept. 16, a 38% increase from the same period last year. Sixty-six percent of cases were associated with floodwater exposure, and the total exceeded the epidemic threshold.
