Stand News editor appeals sedition conviction, says he had no intent to harm national security

Lawyers for former acting chief editor Patrick Lam Shiu-tung told a Hong Kong appeals court he was fulfilling his duty to publish and had no intent to undermine national security. The trial judge had ruled that running material with false information had the seditious effect of inciting hatred against authorities.
